EPISODE 13: SOUL with Sally Bartlett

Sally Bartlett, author of “Dammit…It IS Menopause” Volumes 1 and 2 wrote her books to encourage midlife women to look at what’s happening on the inside, their thoughts about themselves and develop self-love.
Sally is a health/wellness and Pilates coach and holds a Psychology degree from the university of California, Berkeley.
In episode 13 of the podcast, talking to Sally was so refreshing. Sally is 60, has come through menopause, journaled the whole experience and shared it with the world so we can KNOW that the changes that are happening to us, are happening to all women – thank you Sally.
Sally says “Throughout my 20+ years in the fitness and coaching profession, I’ve just kept seeing the theme of women not loving their bodies. I am ON FIRE to help women love their body! I coach women to build and maintain a healthy body mindset. Meanwhile, when I began peri-menopause about 15 years ago, my feelings were all over the place! I felt very confused, frustrated and alone. I thought my life was over. Menopause just wasn’t talked about. I began writing the book right then so that women didn’t have to feel so alone the way I had.
I wrote my books to encourage midlife women to look at their insides and develop self-love. Basically, I have been maintaining a weight loss of about 4 clothing sizes for over 30 years.
The more I share this message, the more I realize that there is a need for guidance in the healthy body mindset shift, especially in the women’s menopause community. No one has ever taught us this subject in school and there is not enough conversation out there for menopausal women. This realization began to light a fire in me to start the conversation, and gave me a vision.”
