EPISODE 26: SOUL with Anna Friend
When you live on opposite sides of the world but live parallel lives. In this podcast episode, I get to chat to Anna – just one woman to another – sharing our respective experiences with midlife and the changes one can expect. It was during this episode that I felt so lucky to have a podcast forum that allows me to meet incredible women from all over the world who are so willing to share.
Anna Friend is an Author, Theatre Director, Actor and Radio Presenter. She founded Quirky Bird in 2015 and is the Resident Director at The Alma Tavern & Theatre in Bristol. In just over 5 years she has developed Quirky Bird from a one-woman-teacher-director situation to a thriving small business that offers employment and opportunities to arts freelancers and young actors from across the UK.
Her series of Children’s books the Big Little Hearts Series was published in March 2021 to support children during difficult times and she recently launched her first podcast Taking on the Change to support women going through Menopause which can found on Spotify, Google, Apple and most podcast apps.
In July 2021 Anna returned to the stage as the iconic Shirley Valentine in her first performance since the COVID pandemic stopped theatre in its tracks.
